Welcome to the
Ministry of Mines and Steel Development
The Vision of the Ministry is to transform the Nigerian Mineral and Metal Sector into an irresistible Mining destination for global capital, attracting foreign direct investment to grow the sector to an optimum level.
From the Desk of
the Honourable Minister
The Ministry under my stewardship is resolutely committed to implementing the Roadmap for the Growth and Development of the Nigerian Mining Industry, a policy document formulated in 2016 to unlock the various potentials in the sector.
We have laid down policy infrastructure that are designed to make the sector more business-friendly and to ensure that investments in the sector are secured. We have engaged several stakeholders and have been able to develop specific credit enhancement instruments of long-term concessionary rates that are now readily accessible by mining operators in the sector.
The Nigerian Mining Sector now offers one of the best returns on investment, and we welcome everyone on board.
